A Letter to Our Sisters
»
Dear Sisters,
Diane Tu (Chi Class, Fall 2007), is the new Alumnae Chair for the Fall 2008 and Spring 2009 year and Kim To (Zeta Class, Fall 1998) are once again re-introducing our efforts to maintain our Alumnae Association here at the University of Houston.
UH Alumnae Survey Please click
here to complete the UH aKDF Alumnae Survey to provide your most current information to the Chapter.
Alumnae Association The benefits of being a member of the Association voting privileges for the Alumnae Association Board. It also includes one (1) Alumnae Lunch/Dinner paid for by the Association, Presents Gifts as well as Formal Gifts for Classes and a Lifetime Membership to the National Alumnae Association, which is $10.00. The benefits of being a member of the National Alumnae Association are discount registration for National Alumnae Convention, voting privileges for the National Alumnae Scholarship, awarded each year at Convention. The fees and benefits will fluctuate and change as future consensus of our Chapter's Alumnae Association. We hope to one day include an Alumnae Weekend, additional dinners/sisterhoods, t-shirts, etc. Only time will tell how fast our Chapter's Alumnae Association can grow.
Association Handbook, Constitution & Board Anh To (Upsilon Class, Fall 2006) and Kim To worked on the rough draft of the Alumnae Association Handbook and Constitution (located in the files on the yahoo groups) along with samples from other aKDF Chapters. Please feel free to browse and make comments and suggestions on what changes should be made. Also, National Alumnae Board is requiring that the Association also elect a Board consisting of a President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary to work along side the Chapter's Alumnae Advisor. Which may be decided later should be Chapter Alumnae Advisor/President of Alumnae Association. So, please also keep this in mind as well.
